Leanne Howe is your new BYRDS rep, which is fantastic news – I think you’ve got a good one! 
Leanne has been actively involved with Northern BYRDS for many years, and has been a fantastic team player in that time, so she is well qualified to take over the role.
She will be supported by our hardworking BYRDS committee, and by our brilliant RDO Chrissie Havis. This website will not be used for BYRDS stuff anymore (a bit of a shame, cos the BD one is not nearly as good tho I say so myself…), so you will all just have to try and get used to navigating your way around the BD site… And we will all have to use the Facebook page to upload photos!
Congratulations to our three riders who have been selected for the European Championships – Sam Brown at Junior level, and Lottie Fry and Erin Williams at pony level. Also to Roxanne Shipley who is first reserve for the ponies.
Well done you all, and hope you have a fantastic time!
Samantha Brown (seasoned Northern BYRDS member and MD apprentice since last September) has just finished her season with Kwadraat in fine style. The pair were best of the Brits in the team test at the Europeans in Holland, and have just come home from the U25 championships at Sheepgate with Junior, Young Rider and Advanced Medium Championship titles to add to their list of successes. Kwad has been the best British horse every year he has been to the European Championships, twice with Becky, and then with Samantha Harrison – not a bad accolade wot!
